Blue Donut Games Ltd is primarily responsible for tabletop game sales and customer-facing board game activity. Blue Donut Studios Limited owns and develops parts of the wider Horror in the Library intellectual property, digital games, software and creative technology activity. Depending on the product, service or enquiry, either or both companies may be involved.
You can contact us through the contact, press, shopping support and request forms on this website, or by writing to the registered office above.
2. Using this website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse forms, attempt to interfere with the website, submit false information, upload unlawful material, scrape content at scale, or use the website in a way that damages the Horror in the Library brand, Blue Donut Games Ltd, Blue Donut Studios Limited, our customers or other users.
We may update, suspend, withdraw or change parts of this website at any time, including prices, product descriptions, availability, downloads, videos, demos, events, forms and links.
3. Products, images and descriptions
We try to describe products clearly and accurately. Product images, component images, screenshots, event photographs and promotional images are provided to help customers understand the game, but final products, packaging, component quantities, print finishes, colours, accessories and digital features may vary slightly from images shown.
Some pages describe products or projects that are in development, such as digital games, future expansions, Kickstarter campaigns, prototypes, demos or coming-soon products. Development plans can change and should not be treated as a guaranteed release date, specification or promise of a final product.
4. Prices, payment and Stripe checkout
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated. The buy page is designed for direct purchases through Stripe Payment Links or a Stripe checkout flow. Stripe, not Blue Donut Games Ltd or Blue Donut Studios Limited, processes card details and payment information.
Where the buy page states that VAT and shipping are included for customers in the UK, EU and USA, the displayed direct website price is intended to include those costs for those regions. Customers outside those regions should contact us before ordering so that availability, shipping and any applicable import costs can be checked.
An order is not accepted until payment has been successfully processed and we have confirmed the order or begun fulfilment. We may refuse, cancel or refund an order if a product is unavailable, a price or description is materially wrong, fraud checks fail, payment fails, delivery is not possible, or the order appears to breach these terms.
5. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We will aim to fulfil orders promptly and will contact customers if there is a material delay or issue with stock or shipping.
Customers are responsible for providing a correct delivery address and contact details. If an order is returned because an address is incorrect, incomplete or not collected, we may need to charge additional shipping before resending.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Consumer customers in the UK normally have statutory cancellation rights for online purchases. In general, you may cancel a physical goods order within 14 days of receiving it, and you then usually have a further 14 days to return the goods. Returned goods should be complete, unused, undamaged and in resaleable condition unless the return is because they are faulty or not as described.
Digital downloads, digital access, demo access, bespoke items, personalised items and sealed goods may have different cancellation rules. For digital content, you may lose the right to cancel once download or access has begun if you have expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of cancellation rights.
If a product is faulty, damaged on arrival, incomplete or not as described, contact us with details and photographs where relevant. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Digital content, demos and downloads
Downloads, rules, mobile player aids, Tabletopia links, VR demo access, pitch decks, videos and other digital materials are provided for the purpose stated on the relevant page. We may change, withdraw or replace digital material where necessary.
VR demo access may require third-party accounts, compatible devices and platform terms, including Meta / Meta Quest account requirements where stated. We cannot guarantee that every device, operating system, account, region or platform setting will support a demo.
8. Intellectual property
Horror in the Library, its logos, artwork, rules text, characters, products, designs, trade marks, videos, screenshots, copy, software, downloads and related materials are owned by or licensed to Blue Donut Games Ltd and/or Blue Donut Studios Limited unless otherwise stated.
You may view and use this website for personal, press, review, retail or purchasing purposes. You must not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, modify, create derivative works from, remove branding from, or commercially exploit our content without permission, except where permitted by law or by a specific press/download licence we provide.
Press and creator material may be used for genuine coverage, review, reporting, retail listings or event promotion, provided it is used fairly, accurately and does not misrepresent the game, the companies or the people involved.
9. User submissions and creator links
If you submit a form, message, creator video link, review link, testimonial, image request, press request or other material, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.
Where you ask us to review or feature a creator video, article, testimonial or other public content, you give us permission to review it and, if appropriate, link to it or refer to it on this website, social channels, press material or similar promotional contexts. We are not obliged to feature submitted material.
10. Events and appearances
Event information is provided for planning and promotional purposes. Dates, attendance, stand locations, activities, speakers and availability may change because of organiser decisions, travel, cost, staffing, stock, health, weather or other practical factors.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
Subject to the above, we are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, platform outages, third-party services, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
12. Third-party services
This website may link to or embed third-party services, including Stripe, YouTube, Vimeo, Kickstarter, Tabletopia, Meta, social platforms, ticketing websites, event websites and press/news sources. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for their content, availability, policies or actions.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continued use of the website after changes are published means the updated terms apply.
14. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country or region.
